  • An oral cyst or nodule found in the mouth of infants; a residual of embryonic salivary gland tissue

  • None

  • By general appearance of the nodule
  • Generally located on the floor or the roof of the mouth, or along the gum line.

  • Discuss it with your physician, but no special measures need be taken. 

  • Other common nodules in the infant's oral cavity are:
  1. Thrush (superficial oral infection with yeast)
  2. Epstein's Pearls
