Arni Nazira Anuar was born in Kuantan, Pahang in 12th July 1978. She was the eldest in a family of seven. She stays with her parents in Kuala Terengganu. Her first involvement in singing was in 1994 when she participated in the 'Asia Bagus' singing contest in Singapore.
She managed to be the weekly champion and monthly champion. Not bad for a newcomer. Her first ablum was with PonyCanyon in 1996. Her single hits was 'Cinta Antara Benua' ('Love Between Two Continentals). The song was the theme song for the TV3 minisiries 'Cinta Antara Benua' produced by Kuasatek Pictures Sdn. Bhd. 
Arni also acted in 'Nafas Cinta' followed by 'Bara". In both movies she starred alongside Awie Wings. She was caught committing 'khalwat' with Awie. Soon after that both of them tied a knot on 10th December 1998. Arni was 20 years old while the rock star Awie was 30 during the marriage. Their marriage came as a surprise as Awie during that time had a famous and steady relationship with beauty queen and singer-actress Erra Fazira. So Awie dumped Erra and went for Arnie. In 16th October 2006, Awie officially divorced Arni. He dumped Arnie and went for another lady, Rozana Misbun the sister of Haliza Misbun.
In 1998, they married together. In her marriage with Awie Wings they have two daugthers - Putri Aleeya Antasha (6) and Putri Aleefa Antasha (4). The court had awarded the responsibility to take care of the two small girls to Awie Wings.
