Akshay Kumar in Trouble with Indecency Police
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has landed himself in trouble after having his wife unbutton his jeans on the catwalk at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai on Monday.
Anil Nair, who claims to be a social activist, lodged an obscenity complaint against the actor and his wife Twinkle Khanna at the Mumbai’s Vakola police station.
Akshay was walking the ramp for renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani to promote Levi’s jeans when he turned towards his wife Twinkle Khanna and asked her to unbutton his jeans, which she did in full public view.
According to the police, they are conducting an inquiry into the incident and would register a case against the star and organizers.
Akshay rubbished the obscenity charge against him saying that there was nothing wrong in getting unbuttoned by one’s wife.
Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors of Bollywood.
Akshay, who made debut in 1991 with film Saugandh, was primarily known as an action hero. But it was his stint with comic films in last few years that brought him in the league of top Hindi film actors.
He has done 80 films so far.
Khiladi (1992), Mohra (1994), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Dhadkan (2000), Hera Pheri (2000) and other are some of his commercially successful flicks.
He has won two Filmfare awards in as many categories: Best Villain (Ajnabee, 2001) and Best Comedian (Garam Masala, 2005).
